BTEC Awards Ceremony

A number of cadets from Oxfordshire ACF were recently presented with their BTEC Awards from the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Mr Tim Stevenson.
Cadet Serjeant Jonathon Taylor, a cadet for over four years with Slade Park Detachment received the following awards:
BTEC Public Service (Distinction)
BTEC Music (Distinction Star)
Sjt Taylor was also presented with two 4 Star Certificates, APC Military and APC Music.
Sjt Taylor's enthusiasm and determination to succeed within the cadet movement has been second to none; his outstanding achievement in attaining two high grade BTEC awards is an inspiration to those not only within his own county but with the cadet movement as a whole.
Cadet RSM Michael Devaney, also from Slade Park Detachment, received the following:
BTEC Public Service (Merit)
BTEC Music (Distinction Star)
He also received his 4 Star APC Military Certificate. RSM Devaney has progressed well within the cadet movement and has been a stalwart figure within the Band & Bugles of Oxfordshire Army Cadet Force. He has worked hard over the years to achieve and is not only an inspiration to the more junior cadets but an asset to the cadet movement as a whole.
Cadet Sjt Sally Turner from Wheatley Deatchment was presented with a BTEC Public Service Award (Pass) and L/Cpl Joshua Rimington from Somme Company received a BTEC Public Service Award (Merit).
Two cadets were unable to attend the presentation and will be presented with their certificates at a later date. Cpl Stephanie Pinker and L/Cpl Melissa Layden, both from Blackbird Leys, achieved BTEC Music, both being graded as Distinction.
Col. Paul Wenlock, Oxfordshire ACF County Commandant, was delighted with the progress made with BTEC Music and the remarkable achievement by our four Music cadets who have opened the door for many more to follow.
