Leaders aren't just born, they're made. The ACF can help not only in basic survival skills and leadership training, but also in giving you the skills and self-confidence you need to succeed in life.
The ACF is currently one of only four national youth organisations which give you the chance to develop valuable skills and at the same time gain a diploma internationally recognised in the workplace and places of higher education.
Cadets aged 16 and over can earn a BTEC First Diploma in Public Services, absolutely fee-free. That's the equivalent of 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C (4 Standard Grades at levels 1 - 3 in Scotland).
- CV Development
- Interviewing Skills
- Public Speaking/Presentations
- First Aid and Nutrition
- Adventure Training
Also available to cadets over 16 is a BTEC First Diploma in Music, also worth the equivalent of 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C. Cadets will gain a basic understanding of music as a profession and demonstrate their ability in performing music as well as organising rehearsals and looking after budgets, marketing, advertising and publicising a musical event.
It's free. It's hassle-free. It's a great way to add a valuable BTEC qualification.
